William Brockman; William Brockmann one of the most highly respected residents of Granada passed away at his home in that village last Friday, at the age of 78 years, his death being due to old age and general decline. Mr. Brockmann was born in England, but came to this country in his youth. For the past sixteen years he has been a resident of Granada, and previous to that was in the harness business in Fairmont, and before that at Winnebago. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church and a man of honor and integrity. He is survived by two nephews Geo. E. Brockmann of Rolling Green. The funeral occurred Monday from the Methodist church at Granada. Interment in Center Creek cemetery. A more complete obituary may be published in another issue.

Obituary
News was received here Saturday morning of the death of William Brockman of Granada, which occurred during Friday night. He was about 80 years of age and was born in England, coming to America when quite young. He came to Martin county about 40 years ago and this has been his home since, except for a number of years that he was at Winnebago engaged in the harness business. About twenty years ago Mr. Brockmann was in the harness business here but sold out and removed to Granada where he has been located in the same business. The deceased was an honorable man in every sence of that term and since his youth has been a consistent and faithful member of the Methodist church. He was never married but has two nephews living in this county, Chas. E. Brockman of Rolling Green and George E. Brockman of Triumph.
