I suspect that the indexer made an error as I find it hard to believe that most folks living in Switzerland Co., Indiana were born in Iowa.

    Note: This household lists John, age 12 although there is no John in the 1860 census with this family. There is a John W., age 2, in the 1860 census, 4 households away from William and Mary Ann. That household is that of Mary Woodruff, age 62; Frances Woodruff, female, 20 and John W. Daily, 2.
