Birth: Birth records for the Duck Creek Monthly Meeting give Anna's birth as the 13th 2nd mo 1830, daughter of Bailey and Jane. I presume, since these are Quaker records, this means her birthday was April 13. Other genealogist have recorded Feb 13th which is likely an error. DNA: KWP
Note: The Crawford County Biographies listed at the Crawford County GenWeb has a listing for a George W. Saunders a resident of Nishnabotny Township who dies in 1896. Listed among his children are Jennie P., widow of Gazaway Farver, Des Moines, IA. Another entry for George Saunders mentions a daughter Jennie who marries G. Farver of East Boyer, Twp.

Birth: Birth records for the Duck Creek Monthly Meeting record Bailey's birth as the 24th day, 2nd month, 1807; son of Nathan and Mary. DNA: KWP Census: 1850 census at Center Township, Grant, IN shows: Baily, 43, farmer, b. NC; Elizabeth, 41, b. OH; children all born IN; Aseneth (f), 22; Levi, 17; Phebe, 16; William, 11; Jesse, 6; A. Stewart, 5; Stephen M., 3; Jemima Jones, 16; Mary Jones, 14; Eunice Jones, 12; Reuben Jones, 11. Note: From History of Reedsburg 1853 - No year in the early annals of pioneering brought more permanent settlers into the Little Baraboo Valley, than this. Many of them were Quakers, and hailed from the aguey lowlands of Indiana. These were the esteemed old Quaker families, and it is written that they "drove in covered wagons westward in search of a more healthy country and climate, and for some unknown reason, perhaps because of the pure water supply, took up landing the Little Baraboo Valley. This was the beginning of the Settlement of the Friends, though many came later who were not Quakers. James STANLEY and his wife, Jemina, and family were among these. Mr. STANLEY, like Mr. DAVIS, was an inspired minister and often preached in the Quaker church which was later founded. He had two children, one of whom, Hulda, married William, also a child of Benjamin PICKERING. Jesse and Hanna DENNIS, the former a minister, Frances and Louisa JONES, Zimri and Pheriba SMALL, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph SMALL, Bailey and Betsy PEARSON, Solomon and Martha PEARSON, Mr. and Mrs. Elijah PICKERING, Mr. and Mrs. William BADGLEY, John HORINE, Henry and Rachael HORINE, Wilson and Martha SMITH, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gaylord BLAKESLEE, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin TENNALL, George HENRY, Adam FIGHT, Burford TUNNEL, William ALL and Jessie MALLOW and Simeon MORTIMER came that year. Census: Bailey Pearson is listed in the 1855 Wisconsin State census index at Marston Township, Sauk, WI. Census: 1860 census at Ironton, Sauk, WI shows: B. Pierson, 53, farmer, b. Note: According to Interment.net cemetery transcriptions there are 4 stones located together in the Resting Green Cemetery in Sauk County, WI. They are Baily, d. 1872; Calvin W., d. 1864 in 32nd year; Asenath, d. 1853 at 25 and Alvin S., d. 1863, 21st year, Co. A., 6th Regiment, WVI. I cannot place this Alvin S. at this time. The name seems to fit his son listed as A. Stewart in the census but the date of birth is a little off. Census: 1870 census at Woodland Township, Baraboo, Sauk, WI shows: Bailey Pearson, 63, b. NC, farmer; Elizabeth, 62, b. OH. They are next door to Stephen Pearson and his wife Mary. Died: Find A Grave e-Memorial Buried: The transcription of cemetery records indicate that the stone of Bailey Pearson is broken and that he was buried on December 26, 1872 at the age of 60y, 10m, 1day. This does not jive with his birthdate of 2 Feb 1807, it is exactly years off, perhaps because the stone is broken the transcriptionist was unable to clearly read the stone. Find A Grave e-Memorial
