    Obituary:
    Nancy Rebecca Phillips,
    Nancy Rebecca Daily (sic), daughter of John Wesley (sic) and Mary Dailey, was born in Marrow (sic) county, Ohio, October 21, 1838, and died at the home of her son Howard Phillips in Worth, Mo. July 9, 1926, aged 87 years, 8 months, and 18 days. She was the youngest of ten children, two brothers and seven sisters, all of whom preceded her to the great beyond. In 1855 she moved, with her parents, to Knox Co. Ill, where she was united in marriage to Francis Marion Crawford in 1862. To this union four childrenn were born, as follows: Harley, of Ontario, Cal.; Elmer , of Gravity, Ia.; Willard. of Elk City, Okla; and Mrs. Geneva Burrell, of Bedford, Ia.
    After the death of her companion at Galesburg, Ill in 1873, she moved with her little family to Missouri, where on April 28, 1877, she was married to Isaac Phillips. To this union two sons and two daughters were born: Edward Arthur who preceded her in death in March, 1914, Howard Isaac and Mrs. Della E. Long, both of Worth, and Mrs. Cora Agnes Giesken, of Parnell, Mo.
    Besides those mentioned above, she leaves to mourn her passing twenty grandchildren, ten great, grandchildren and seven step children, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
    Grandmother Phillips, as she was lovingly called by her many relatives and friends, was converted at the age of fifteen years and united with the Methodist church and remained in that faith until the end.
    Grandma always had a smile and a pleasant word for everyone and was truly a model of Christian fortitude and patience in her many trials and afflitions. For the past several years she had made her home with her son Howard, and wife in Worth, and for some time has been quite helpless. On July 2nd she was stricken with paralysis. All that kind and loving hands could do was in vain, and one week later she passed to her reward.
    O! Dear mother, how we miss you
    Now that you have gone away;
    But in heaven we hope to meet you,
    On a fairer, brighter day.
    Funeral services were conducted at the M.E. church in Worth at two o'clock Saturday, July 10 by the pastor, A. R. Lamb. The quartette composed of Mrs. Bertha Canaday, Mrs Wilmer Wallace, Luther Pierce and George Wray, sang "There is no Disappointment in Heaven," "Lead Kindly Light," and "Abide With Me."
    Pall; bearers were Joseph Hughes, Matt Schuster, Amos Faw, Frank Moore, Chas. Harris and Wm. Lattimer. Interment was in the Barnes cemetery west of town.

    Died:
    Two death dates have been reported for John W. Dailey, 1856 and 1873. I tend to think that the 1873 is correct as his wife Mary who died in 1865 is buried in Rio. Had John died in 1856 he probably would have been buried either there or in Ohio. As he is supposedly buried in Iowa I think the later date is more correct. See letters from Austin Dailey to Mabel Crawford.

    Buried:
    Was told John was buried at a cemetery near West Liberty, have been unable to locate.
