He is an alien, born in Milltown, New Brunswick, Canada and is a citizen of Great Britain. He is a chauffer for Dr. A. Worcester in Waltham, Mass., is single and caucasian. The registrar reports he is talll, of medium build with blue eyes and black hair, he is not bald.

NOTE: I do not know if this is "my" James. Some things fit and others don't, age is correct, place of birth might be correct, and birthplace of mother is not as I expected. This family had a habit of reporting their birthplace as either Maine or Canada. Calais, Maine and Milltown, New Brunswick are pretty much conjoined at the US/Canada border and families could drifted back and forth over the border. I have recorded that the birthplace of James' mother as Milltown, not Scotland but.....her name was McDonald.

    Death certificate for Annie Ryan McGoldrick lists the cause of death as cholemia, due to arteriosclerosis. It gives her birthdate as January 6, 1859, which I believe to be incorrect, based upon census data.

    After WWI, William was selected by the Missouri Historical society to be written up in the year book for that year along with his picture and the picture of his six sons, all volunteers who fought in WWI and all returned. His was the only six star Service flag in the St. Louis area.

    In a victory parade in St. Louis after WWI, carried her six star Service Flag in an auto all alone preceded only by the three or four Gold Star mothers. When her mother died during the birth of younger sister Anna, she entered a convent as a boarder and spent most of her earlier years there until the 8th grade. She was taken out and later graduated from high school in south St.Louis. The older children had now married and she kept house for their father. She gave voice lessons and sang in various churches for a while. She is buried in the cemetery with her father and husband William and others in her family.
