  	There was set off, 7 Sept., 1739, to John Kellogg, land at Ellis Neck, valued at £9, 4s., 6d., and on 27 Dec., 1739, '8 acres at ye upper end of Silver Mine Hill.' In 1731, the Parish of Canaan in Norwalk was established, and John's house was included in this parish, but in Oct., 1738, he was allowed, by act of the General Assembly, to leave the Parish of Canaan and rejoin Norwalk. His estate, appraise d at £1,800, was distributed in 1750.
