Sanford COATES

  	History and Directory of Yates County states that Sanford Coates was born in Stonington in 1799 and that he married Jerusha Miner. It further states that they moved to Jerusalem in 1817 with their 5 children. It seems unlikely that at the age of 18 Sanford and Jerusha had 5 children so I have discounted the listing of his birth year.
