Note: OBITUARY OF MRS. S. STORLIE Funeral services for Mrs. Severt Storlie, Farmington, were held Saturday afternoon at the West Christiania Lutheran church with Pastor E. E. Hoff officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Storlie died June 9th, 1954 at 2:55 p.m. in Sanford hospital after a lingering illness caused by several strokes. 'Rock of Ages' and 'The Great White Host' were sung in Norwegian by Rev. Hoff. Pallbearers were: Art, Henry and Arnold Anderson, Lawrence Thompson, Arol Olson and Olivian Vinge. Elle Amelia Anderson was born March 8, 1879 in New Market township, a daughter of Haagen and Marie Anderson. She was united in marriage with Severt Storlie, May 8 at the West Christiania church and they resided in New Market township until 1937, when they moved to Farmington, where they have continued to reside. Survivors are her husband and children: Herman of Northfield; Edman of Lakeville; Mrs. Mathias (Bertha) May; Mrs. Vern (Myrtle) Kelly of Farmington; three brothers, Elmer, Edwin and John Anderson, also 12 grandchildren. Mrs. Storlie was a quiet kind home-loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be sadly missed by her loved ones and friends. Out of town attendants at the funeral included: Merle Hutddler of Minneapolis; Mrs. Phillip Hauge of Stanton; Mrs. Olga Teske and Mrs. Hattie Pittesly (sic) of Faribault; Mr. and Mrs. Olander Vinge of Dennison; Mr. and Mrs. John Lindberg of Iowa. Obituary: ELMER ANDERSON, EUREKA, DIES Elmer Anderson, 73, Eureka township, died March 12 after a short illness at his home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the White Funeral home and at 2:00 p.m. in the Christiania Lutheran Free church, with the Rev. M. Haakenstad, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the White Funeral Home, Lakeville, after 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Survivors are: his wife, Ida; one daughter, Mrs. Harris (Gladys) Knutsen of White Bear Lake; 3 sons, Alvin of Northfield; Raymond of Elko; Arthur of Lakeville; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Edwin and John of Farmington. Obituary: Funeral services for Edwin Anderson were held Monday afternoon Dec. 2nd from Steeles Mortuary at 1:15 p.m. and from the West Christiania Lutheran church at 2 p.m. with Pastor E. E Hoff officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with six nephews as pallbearers, Henry, Arnold, Arthur and Raymond Anderson, Herman and Edman Storlie. Pastor Hoff sang 'Come Ye Disconsolate' at Steele's Mortuary and 'I'm but A Stranger Here' and 'Den Store Hvide Folak' at the church service. Edwin Anderson, son of Haaken and Mary Anderson was born June 30, 1885 on a farm in New Market township, Scott county. He was in failing health for the past several years and passed away at his home in Farmington on Thursday night, Nov. 28th at the age of 72 years and five months. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christiania Lutheran church and for many years served as caretaker at the West church. On October 30, 1917 he was united in marriage to Alma Wahl and to this union were born three children, Mildred, Luella and Agnes. They resided on their farm in New Market township, except for the past four winters being spent in Farmington where they had moved two months ago. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters who died in infancy, three brothers, Albert, Oscar and Elmer and one sister, Mrs. Sievert Storlie. He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, three daughters (Mildred) Mrs. Edwin Elvestad, and (Luella) Mrs. Milton Elvestad of Lakeville and (Agnes) Mrs. Marvin Madson of Farmington, also eight grandchildren, one brother, John, of Farmington, and a host of relatives and friends.
